This evening will be a celebration of the role that trees have in slowing down the effects of climate change.

If we plant One Trillion Trees we can slow down global warming. The additional trees will help absorb the excess carbon in our atmosphere.

This will only work in the context of us massively cutting back our current carbon emissions but it is a ray of hope.

Planting trees is such a natural reaction to the environmental problems we’ve all created. We don’t need to wait for any new technology to be invented, we just need to plant trees.

This concert is a conversation starter, a consciousness raiser, an attempt to move this issue closer to the centre of attention.

After years of reading bad news about the environment there is finally something positive we can all be part of that makes sense, that feels natural.

This concert is a celebration of hope as an array of Ireland’s acclaimed artists respond with their art.

Expect songs and shared thoughts from some beautiful minds.
